You must call out to the world in our voice.
Citizens of Israel, O Israeli people, you must speak out in our voice, the voice of the Palestinian people. What crime have we committed simply because we were born on this land?
There is no safety, no future.
Poverty, fear, and hunger.
We do not know how our lives slipped away. Years of our lives have passed without achieving anything because of wars, checkpoints, incursions, and the occupation.
Who said that we are enemies of the Jews?
And who said that yesterday, when the Israeli female captives were released, we did not rejoice as their families embraced them?
Even the female soldiers were part of this human scene. We looked at them with great joy as they signaled to their families. And when they reached their loved ones, we were happy for this human moment.
And whoever did not rejoice at this must reexamine their humanity.
We want to live in this land in peace.
We do not take anyone’s freedom, and no one takes our freedom.

Erella’s response:
Dearest Jubeir,
What you have written is soooo powerful! Sooo touching, deep inside heart, mind and soul.
We will spread it around as much as we can.
I wish we could meet. I wish I could hug you.
Five minutes ago, I returned from Tuba, a village in Masafer Yatta. On Saturday, there was a terrible event there. You’ve probably heard about it. Yes, every word you wrote is right.
We will call out with you and spread what you have written as much as we can.
Much love,
Erella

Jubeir:
My dear and precious friend, Erella,
The hardest thing about this time is that we couldn’t meet, not even once.
It is difficult for a person to have very close friends and not be able to meet them for a long period of time.

Erella:
I feel the same. Very difficult. And yet, our spirits are always together and under the current circumstances, this is strengthening.
Sending much love.
